    Description

    Vintage fold-out 1939 Atlantic White Flash road map of Pennsylvania and New Jersey, printed more than 77 years ago.
    The map opens to 22" x 28"
    It has great detail on old highway alignments and road surfaces, with cartography by Rand McNally.
    There are inset plans of Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Scranton, Allentown, Altoona, and Harrisburg.
    The map was distributed by the Atlantic Refining Company in 1939 to promote its White Flash Gasoline.
    It is dated by the code number in the lower margin: U.3415.
    A printed message on the front cover says, "See the New York World's Fair 1939," and the artwork includes the Trylon and Perisphere.
