Description
Handsome fold-out 1965 Atlantic Imperial road map of Newark and vicinity, printed more than 51 years ago.The map opens to 18" x 29"
It has great detail on old street and highway alignments, including U.S. Routes 1, 9, and 46, and the Pulaski Skyway, with cartography by Rand McNally.
It labels cities and towns and locates golf clubs, yacht clubs, airports, parks, and points of interest.
One side covers northeastern New Jersey, from Dover to Hoboken, including Morristown, Summit, Paterson, Westfield, Hackensack, Montclair, Newark, and part of New York City.
The other side has a map of central New Jersey, including Trenton, Elizabeth, Asbury Park, Plainfield, and Perth Amboy.
The map was distributed by the Atlantic Refining Company in 1965 and is dated in the legend. The code number in the lower margin is: 5-574612.
The front cover shows an Atlantic service station and a shield featuring its Imperial Gasoline.
There's an Atlantic credit card on the back cover.
Condition:
The map is in very good, lightly used condition, bright and clean, with a pinhole break on one fold corner and
no
