    Description

This vanilla bean paste is made from real ground vanilla beans and so contains specks of vanilla bean too. It is not made using vanilla bean extract, like most other brands of vanilla bean paste (see below for more information).
This vanilla bean paste is to be used to flavor ice cream base, gelato, baking dough, and other gourmet desserts including pastries. Add one tablespoon of vanilla paste per 16oz of dough or ice cream base, or more to taste. The package contains about 13 tablespoons of paste.
This vanilla bean paste is made with only natural ingredients. French vanilla is a unique style of vanilla bean paste popularized in France that has become an essential part of our culinary tradition.

    FAQ
    1. How is this vanilla bean paste different from other vanilla bean pastes.
It is different in two primary ways. First, it is made in the French Vanilla style giving it a more "smooth and buttery" taste / texture than non French Vanilla bean pastes. Second, it is made from pure vanilla beans, no vanilla extract is used at all.
    2. Why is this product NOT made with vanilla extract.
Vanilla extract is not a naturally occurring substance. Instead, it is created by combining alcohol and vanilla beans. No two extracts are alike, they use different types of alcohol and beans of different quality and freshness and some will also use solvents to boost the amount of vanilla that is removed from the dried pods. For consumers wanting to avoid the presence of alcohol or solvents like propylene glycol this vanilla bean paste is a great alternative.
    3. What are the different types of vanilla beans
There are two main types of vanilla beans, Bourbon / Madagascar and Tahitian. French Vanilla is NOT a type of vanilla bean, it simply refers to a way of preparing vanilla bean paste. Both Bourbon and Tahitian vanilla beans can be used in the preparation of this French Vanilla paste based on freshness and availability.
