Description:
A nice about very fine banknote from the Tunis or Tunisia. This is the 3 November 1983 ten dinars issued by the Central Bank of Tunis. The note is blue and lilac on multicolored underprint and has the image of al-Habib Bourguiba to the right of center with the image of off-shore oil rig in purple below it on the front. Bourguiba was the leader of the revolt against France and his revolt won Tunis its independence in 1956. The back of the note has the same color scheme as the front and has the image of a modern building at center with old city gateway to the right and a traditional money changer at left. The note has two signatures in blue as well as the serial number in black on the front. This particular note has the serial number 254448 and it is series D/19. The note has a water mark depicting the bust of al-Habib Bourguiba. The note has a security thread right of center. Please carefully review the scan as it is part and parcel of our description.

Condition:
I would grade this banknote as about very fine or better with all the details being well preserved. This is an attractive note showing evidence of handling and wear. It has a several vertical fold and a horizontal fold. The note is soiled but has no major or objectionable stains instead it has several smaller stains throughout. The note's paper itself is still relatively crisp and not floppy or soft. There are two tears along the top edge, one about 1/8" long and the second about 1/2" long. The edges do show wear and some roughness, especially at the ends of the folds. The corners also show wear, some soiling and some rounding, but are intact with some bumps. The note has no graffiti and no pinholes. Please see photo for additional condition information.
