Description
This has been my signature opener trick for both children and adults ... for over 40 years. It's not the cheap version of six-card repeat ... this routine is rich with color and comedy. One user actually wore out his set (that's hard to do) and recently ordered two more. I guarantee your satisfaction. I will even pay to ship this to you; you need only ship it back at your expense to receive a full refund.
In kid shows I use this to introduce myself as a magician, not only explaining what a magician is in a non-intimidating way, but also instructing the kids on the behavior I expect from them. Kids love repetition and variety, and this effect gets kids involved for both reasons.
With adults. I use the trick in nearly the same way, but in the guise of explaining how I introduce myself to a group of kids, etc., etc. The trick is the same either way, with patter polished from years of use, with the addition of some of Kenton Knepper's Wonder Words improve the altered state of reality.
would not be too much for this effect considering that I make these by hand from genuine UNO cards. You also receive my word-for-word patter as praised by magic dealers, performing magicians, and even as reviewed in Magic Magazine. But you will
pay less then

PATTER SUMMARY: I saw a magic show when I was a kid. The magician clearly counted out one ... two ... three ... four ... five ... six cards:

. Then he threw away card numbers one, two and three:

. After a bit of hocus pocus, he still had all six and clearly counted out 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 cards again. I was amazed:

I repeat this same sequence twice more as I explain that while chatting with that friendly magician after the show, he sensed in me a kindred spirit and offered to explain how it worked ... but only after exacting the promise that magicians only share secrets with other magicians. •• Then I rush home to practice with my own UNO cards.
The audience has seen the trick three times, so they think they know what to expect. But when I practice the trick on my own, I only end up with the
four, five and six
as seen in p

I remember asking myself, what had I forgotten? ••• Then I try something different ... and end up with cards numbered
FOUR, FIVE, SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT ... NINE!

shows that the "nine" is actually the "six" that I turn over at the last minute. This is a great laugh getter.
So, I continue to explain, I threw away the NINE, threw away the EIGHT, and threw away the SEVEN (photo#9).
Then I remembered the secret to the trick
, and triumphantly end up with cards numbered
one, two, three, four, five, six! Photo #10! Tah-dah!
The effect is easy to learn and easy to perform. You will, of course, adapt it to your own style.
